About the Position As the Assistant Produce Manager, you assist the Produce‑Floral Manager with managing department inventory, pricing integrity, training, and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast‑paced position that requires efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence to drive results while curating an impeccable experience for our guests and team members.
What You’ll Do With the Produce‑Floral Manager, you are an ambassador of the department and set an example for excellence as you assist in the management of all relevant functions and activities.
Coordinate ordering of produce items with the Produce‑Floral Manager
Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely information
Make recommendations and accommodate requests
Manage order guides/ordering deadlines/reduce shrink/damage
Properly receive and stock goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
Assist the Assistant Floral Manager within the floral department as needed
Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members “on‑the‑job” and through the Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner
Availability This position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
Qualifications At a minimum, you’ll need:
3+ years of experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality
1+ year of leadership experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must be at least 18 years of age
