Outside Sales Representative (Business Development)

To visit current or prospective customers and perform assigned outside sales responsibilities:

  1. Contact prospective and current customers to solicit sales for company products and services.
  2. Follows up with sales leads generated through incoming calls, advertising campaigns, and other promotional efforts.
  3. Travels to customer locations throughout the whole state to present company products, services, and pricing information.
  4. Applies technical knowledge of company products, services, and pricing information.
  5. Submits appropriate paperwork to management such as expense and call reports in accordance with training procedures.
  6. Understands and supports company sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers and foster the development of long-term business relationships.
  7. Assist and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner, notifies management of problems and suggests corrective actions.
  8. Collects and reports competitive information to management.
  9. Attends training activities and trade shows on behalf of the company to present information regarding company products and services.
  10. Initial training will be in our headquarters in Knoxville, TN.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Prior Sales experience required, 2 or more years in B2B sales.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Drivers License-Must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
