5:00 PM In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the inside and outside sales teams by preparing accurate and timely quotesprimarily for ISO tank transportation (food-grade and chemical)and ensuring an excellent experience for customers and internal stakeholders. What You'll Be Doing Your main focus will be pricing and quoting, with a heavy emphasis on ISO tank transportation: Prepare and submit a high volume of ISO tank transportation quotes (typically 150200 per month) for food-grade and chemical bulk liquid shipments. Aim to respond to quote requests within 24 hours, factoring in dependencies on vendors and carriers. Support the entire inside sales team, not just one salesperson, working closely with the lead pricing/quoting specialist. Produce commercial proposals and responses to tenders for global shipments of bulk liquid chemicals, foodstuffs, and gases in ISO tanks. Ensure quotes and proposals comply with local, state, and international ISO tank requirements and company procedures. Maintain accurate data in internal systems (Excel, CRM, and other tools) to track quotes, pricing, and customer information. Collaborate with outside sales representatives to support account plans and business development activities aligned with company goals. Handle aspects of commercial presentations and reporting, including basic sales and pricing reports for leadership. Take ownership of customer issues related to pricing/quotes and work with internal and external stakeholders to drive timely resolution. What We're Looking For Experience & Background 13 years of experience in a similar role such as inside sales, sales support, customer service, or pricing/quoting. Experience in logistics or transportation strongly preferred; ISO tank or bulk liquid experience is a plus. Prior quoting or pricing experience is essential. comfortable interacting with both internal teams and external customers. Ability to partner effectively with outside sales and operations teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Comfortable learning and adapting to new systems and processes quickly. Strong organizational and time management skills
able to juggle multiple quotes and priorities while meeting deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor. High attention to detail and accuracy when working with pricing, contracts, and customer data. Self-starter who can work independently while still being a strong team player. Education & Nice-to-Haves High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in international transportation or bulk liquid logistics is a plus. Spanish language skills are a plus but not required. Work Environment You'll be working 100% onsite at the South Houston location to start, collaborating closely with the inside sales, outside sales, and operations teams.
