Order Picker - Elgin, IL
As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for moving inventory and pulling orders throughout the day, primarily focusing on glass hardware parts. You will utilize a physical order sheet to select orders and prepare them for shipment. Initially, the only equipment used will be a box cutter, but training will be provided on pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts. Responsibilities Pick orders and prepare them for shipment using a physical order sheet. Operate a box cutter, manual pallet jack, and sit-down forklift as needed. Package glass hardware and manage inventory. Unloading trucks, breaking down pallets, sorting, packaging, labeling, quantifying, staging, and cycle counting. Lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Essential Skills At least 3 months of experience with order picking. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to read and interpret an order sheet. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with sit-down forklifts is advantageous. Previous warehouse picking, shipping, and receiving experience. Basic computer skills. Why Work Here?
