Accounting Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting specialist to join our team in Bedford Heights, Ohio. This contract position with the potential for long-term employment offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles to support the smooth functioning of our finance department. Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate payment handling and invoice reconciliation. Perform credit card reconciliations and match purchase orders with corresponding invoices. Assist in monthly and annual financial closing procedures, including preparing necessary documentation and reports. Monitor and maintain financial records to ensure compliance and accuracy. Collaborate with internal teams to provide timely and accurate financial information. Respond to vendor and customer inquiries related to financial transactions and accounts. Utilize accounting software to process transactions and maintain records efficiently. Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to support business operations. Conduct variance analyses and support budgeting activities as required. Complete additional accounting and administrative tasks assigned by management. Requirements
Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Experience with credit card reconciliations and matching purchase orders. Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Ability to work with accounting software, preferably On Automatica. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and team members. Prior experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
