Our client has engaged QPT in locating an Industrial Machinery Sales Representative to grow and manage customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a consultative salesperson who enjoys working closely with manufacturers to identify equipment solutions that improve productivity and performance. The position combines new business development with account management, requiring both technical curiosity and strong relationship-building skills. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development: Develop and grow sales within a defined territory through prospecting, referrals, and existing customer relationships Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate machinery, equipment, and service solutions Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and pricing; negotiate terms and close sales Conduct product demonstrations and technical discussions with customers Meet or exceed established sales targets Customer Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with customers by providing responsive, consultative support Coordinate with internal service and technical teams to ensure smooth installations and customer satisfaction Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM systems Product & Market Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the Companys equipment, parts, service offerings, and support capabilities Stay informed on industry trends, customer challenges, and competitive products Represent the company at customer meetings, site visits, and industry events as needed Qualifications
Required: 2+ years of relevant sales experience (industrial equipment, machinery, or technical products preferred) Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a sales territory independently Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally or regionally Preferred: Experience selling capital equipment or industrial machinery Technical aptitude or background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments Familiarity with CRM systems and standard sales reporting tools
