Role Description
Ruff Roofing is seeking a Content & Media Coordinator with a strong focus on videography and content scheduling to support our marketing and growth strategy.
This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in the field, loves capturing real moments, and knows how to turn raw footage into engaging short-form content that performs on social media.
The primary focus of this position is video content creation, editing, and daily social media execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Content collection and storytelling
- Visit job sites weekly to capture before/after shots, drone footage, team interactions, and walkthroughs
- Interview homeowners for video testimonials
- Create content for project highlights, behind-the-scenes stories, and company wins
Social Media Management
- Plan, create, and post daily content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn (content types: before/after, time-lapse, trendy content, educational, “Meet the Crew,” FAQs)
- Respond to DMs, engage with comments, tag local businesses/HOAs/homeowners
- Run organic engagement campaigns (polls, giveaways, referral highlights)
Visual Brand Support
- Use Canva or Adobe Express to create flyers, sales decks, job recap templates, and IG stories
- Design highlight reels and motion graphics using short-form editing tools (Cap Cut, In Shot, etc.)
- Ensure consistency of fonts, colors, logos, and overall tone across all assets
Collaboration between roles
- Syncs daily with the Marketing Manager to align content with campaign goals
- Coordinate with sales and production teams to identify content-worthy jobs and moments
- Use shared tools such as Hootsuite and Job Nimbus to support workflow
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in content creation, videography, or social media marketing
- Strong experience shooting and editing video (especially short-form)
- Proficiency with: Video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, InShot, etc.)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and algorithms
- Ability to manage content calendars and post consistently
- Comfortable working in the field and traveling to job sites
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Flexible schedule based on workload and content needs
- Willingness to adapt as trends, platforms, and tools evolve
