The Opportunity
RefrigiWear is seeking a
Senior Designer
to play a critical role in shaping the technical and design direction of our product portfolio. This position is deeply involved in the product development lifecycle-from concept through final production-and partners closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative, functional products to market.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on designer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a strong technical foundation in apparel and product construction.
What You'll Do
Create original design concepts aligned with seasonal line plans and meet customer needs
Develop and maintain detailed technical design files using Adobe Illustrator
Build Bills of Materials and measurement charts in Centric, our global PLM system
Collaborate with the Product Development team to translate requirements into production-ready designs
Review and evaluate samples (apparel, footwear, handwear, headwear) for quality, fit, and construction with a high attention to detail and quality standards.
Conduct fit evaluations and resolve sizing and construction issues
Support sample reviews, fittings, and design/technical review meetings
Maintain component and trim libraries within PLM
Partner with Product Integrity to create compliant product labeling
Research market trends, competitive products, and new material innovations
Apply responsible design practices to meet performance and cost targets
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Experience working in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Strong knowledge of textiles, apparel construction, and manufacturing processes
Solid understanding of garment fit and measurement evaluation
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet development timelines
Experience with footwear, handwear, or headwear design is a plus
Familiarity with workwear safety and compliance standards is a plus
