Health insurance BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking an SAP BRIM -Technical Writer to work in the Middletown, PA area. This is a full time position with at least 2 days on-site and possibly 3 days remote.

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, comprehensive, and audit-ready documentation for SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) and related systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Subscription Order Management, Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Charging). Working closely with SAP BRIM SMEs, functional consultants, and project teams, the Technical Writer develops functional and technical specifications, process flows, user guides, training materials, and release notes. The role ensures documentation aligns with SAP best practices, complies with PCI DSS and SOC1/SOC2 standards, and supports successful SIT/UAT, cutover, and post-go-live operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Author and maintain functional specifications, technical specifications, configuration guides, and process design documents for SAP BRIM (SOM, CI) and SAP S/4HANA. Document features, user stories, configuration settings, and development tasks in Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO); ensure traceability from requirements through testing. Develop end-user documentation: user guides, job aids, SOPs, quick reference cards, and release notes aligned with BRIM solution design and Fiori usage. Create data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and interface specifications covering integrations (e.g., CRM, payment gateways, mediation/usage capture, SAP ERP). Ensure documentation supports PCI DSS and SOC1/SOC2 compliance; capture controls, encryption, tokenization flows, and role-based access assumptions. Collaborate with SMEs to capture business processes for high-volume, consumption-based billing and revenue management; minimize customization by documenting SAP standard usage. Write thorough functional test cases, review SIT/UAT scripts, and record test results and defect resolutions; maintain version control across deliverables. Support training teams by transforming technical content into learner-friendly materials and presentations; maintain alignment with training curriculum. Prepare cutover runbooks, data migration guides (including delta load procedures), and post-go-live support documentation (e.g., ServiceNow knowledge articles). Maintain documentation repositories following Commission formats/templates; enforce naming conventions, metadata, and review/approval workflows. Facilitate document reviews and walkthroughs with business owners, technology staff, and vendors; incorporate feedback and publish updates promptly. Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Information Systems, Business, or related field. 3+ years of technical writing experience for enterprise software; 2+ years supporting SAP or comparable ERP platforms. Exposure to SAP BRIM modules (SOM, CI) and S/4HANA; ability to read configuration settings and interpret impact on business processes. Proficiency with documentation tools (Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint) and work management tools (Azure DevOps/JIRA). Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation tailored to diverse audiences. Preferred Skills:

Experience documenting integrations with payment gateways, tokenization, and secure payment flow designs (PCI DSS). Familiarity with mediation systems for usage capture and rating, and SAP BTP for event-driven architecture/API management. Hands-on experience creating Fiori-centric user guides and process walkthroughs for finance/billing operations. Participation in at least one full-cycle SAP BRIM or S/4HANA implementation; understanding of hybrid Agile methodologies. SAP BRIM or SAP S/4HANA certifications are a plus (e.g., BR235/240/245/416).
