Summer Associate Program

1L Opportunity Scholars Program The 1L Opportunity Scholars Program is open to first‑year students who have exhibited perseverance and excellence in their path toward a career in law. Applicants must be first‑year J.D. students (with an anticipated graduation year of 2028) in good standing at an ABA Pirates, androits. Successful candidates should have a record of academic achievement, leadership qualities, strong writing and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in real estate law in California after graduation. (Real estate law includes transactional commercial real estate, diplomats, land use, and real estate litigation practices.)
Please provide your resume, undergraduate and law school transcripts, a writing sample, and a personal statement; you may submit these in advance of your law school transcript, as grades may not be available until early 2026. Associate Position Cox Castle is seeking an associate with 6+ years of sophisticated commercial real‑estate transactional experience. Significant experience with complex joint ventures, acquisitions, and dispositions is required. Candidates must have strong academic credentials and solid foundational training. Admission to the California Bar is strongly preferred.
The anticipated base salary for this position begins at $285,000, dependent upon experience and other relevant factors. This position is bonus eligible. Cox Castle also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
