HD Supply
The Brand and Social Media Lead is responsible for setting the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of HD Supplys brand and social media efforts. This role drives brand consistency, differentiation, and growth across channels, ensuring creative execution is directly connected to business outcomes and customer segments. The role partners cross-functionally to elevate brand perception, strengthen customer engagement, and scale impact in a B2B environment.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Strategic Brand Leadership
- Leads brand and social strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion across the full marketing funnel.
- Shapes and activates brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions across social, digital, and campaign touchpoints.
- Connects creative execution to measurable business outcomes and customer segment needs.
- Identifies opportunities to evolve and scale brand impact in a complex B2B environment.
- Owns organic and paid social strategy, ensuring content drives meaningful engagement and measurable growth.
- Oversees audience targeting, channel optimization, and performance analysis across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Utilizes social management and analytics tools (ideally Sprout Social) to monitor performance, extract insights, and optimize future efforts.
Content & Creative Direction
- Briefs and manages internal creative teams and external agencies to deliver on-brand, high-quality assets.
- Writes and edits content across formats, adapting tone and messaging for diverse audiences and industries.
- Translates complex products, services, and initiatives into clear, compelling, customer-focused stories.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Partners closely with Creative, Analytics, Strategic Marketing, and Sales teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Presents brand and social strategies, performance, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Manages multiple initiatives simultaneously with strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
Leadership & Operations
- Oversees day-to-day brand and social workflows, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and priorities are met.
- Coaches and develops team members, providing clear direction, feedback, and accountability.
- Identifies and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness across brand and social operations.
Nature and Scope
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.

- Sprout Social or similar social media management platforms
- LinkedIn (organic and paid), Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Connected TV (CTV) or video-based brand media
- Social listening and audience targeting tools
- Microsoft Excel (reporting, analysis, performance tracking)
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Project management/workflow tools (Workfront or similar)
- Analytics and reporting tools (platform-native and third-party)
