Corvid Technologies’ Strike Systems team is looking to add talented Mechanical Engineers to their growing team. This position will support the development (and analysis) of specialty payloads and warheads for defense customers. The successful candidate will enjoy concept development, computational analysis, and testing.
The position requires a broad, strong technical foundation in engineering and an ability to apply them in tasks analyzing and designing prototypes – overcoming technical challenges to provide quality products.
Sample Tasking Will Include
Designing mechanical components and assemblies for strike systems
Analyzing performance of design iterations using commercial and in‑house FEA applications to evaluate high‑dynamic interactions
Modifying existing models for different applications of proven technologies – ensuring design modifications do not affect technology performance
Qualifications
Candidate must be a US Citizen andфт maintain a Secret Clearance
Position requires a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline) – directly applicable experience may substitute for a Master’s Degree
Experience using finite element tools and a fundamental understanding of engineering principles used by FEA applications
Preferred candidate will have experience or interest in numerical methods, specifically FEM, for R&D tasks related to elasticity and plasticity
Ability in mechanical design, preferably using SolidWorks or similar tool
Preferred candidate will have experience working on design/integration tasks for aerospace or DoD systems
