Role Purpose The role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, including support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will inspect and identify defective or broken parts, and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures that our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment, ensuring all work is performed safely and supported by following established procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and/ms‑annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment, maintaining records relating to maintenance.

Ensure the aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.

Maintain에서 a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

Hydrate electric equipment according to the Hydration Schedule.

Program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID).

Perform monthly, quarterly andMt annual quality control checks on the equipment.

Perform an accident inspection on involved equipment.

Qualifications: GSE/Diesel Mechanic Level 1

Must have at least 6 months of diesel mechanic experience/background.

Coursework in diesel mechanic.

Must possess a valid US driver’s license.

Must have authorization to work in the USA.

Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.

Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.

Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70 lbs.

Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.

All mechanics are required to perform duties of the other positions as needed when directed by operational need (Level I may need to perform tasks of Level III).

Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport Badge.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Tool Requirements This role requires the following tools. Familiarity with the specified drives, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, air tools, pliers, and miscellaneous items is expected.

¼″ Drive: Ratchet, Swivel, Socket (Deepand Shallow Required), Standard 1/8″ – 9/16″, Extensions 3″ and 6″.

½ Gains Drive: Ratchet, Sockets (Deep and Shallow Required), Extensions 3″ and 6″, Standard 3/8″ – 15/16″, 6″ Impact Extension, Deep Impact Socket 1/2″ – 15/16″.

3/8″ Drive: Ratchet, Swivel, Extensions 3″ and 6″, Socket (Deep and Shallow Required), Standard 5/16 – 1″, Spark Plug Socket 5/8″ – 13/16″.

Wrenches: Combination wrenches ¼″ internes 15/16″, Allen Wrenches 1/16″ – 3/ haasticed, Crescent Wrenches 8″ and 12″.

Hammers, Chises, Punches: Ball Peen Hammer 32 oz, 4‑pound Sledge, Punch and Chisel Set.

Screw Drivers and Pry Bars: Phillips Head #1 & #2, Standard Head #1 & #2, Pry Bar 24″.

AIR TOOLS: 1/2″ Drive Impact Gun, OSHA Approved Air Nozzle, Tire Chuck.

PLIERS: Channel Locks 12″, Standard Pliers 8″.

MISCELLANEOUS: Flashlight, Tire pressure Gauge (Up to 120 PSI), Tape Measure 25″, Oil Filter Wrenches small and large, Gloves, Medium Locking Rollaway Toolbox, Small Locking Road Box.
