As a Territory Sales Manager (TSM), you’ll build a pipeline, run crisp product demos, and close new payroll accounts with small businesses. You’ll partner with Customer Success to ramp accounts fast and build long-term retention. You’ll earn ongoing residuals as your client list grows. What You’ll Do
Prospect and build your pipeline: Outbound, events, and referrals, maintain a healthy 3-4x coverage ratio. Create long-term partnerships: Build and maintain your referral network with accountants, insurance brokers, financial advisors, and banks. Own the full sales cycle: From first touch to first payroll run, tell the Hourly story, diagnose payroll gaps, quantify ROI (time saved, error reduction), and tailor proposals. Forecast with rigor: Maintain good CRM hygiene, deal stage accuracy, weekly forecasts, and share win/loss insights. Be the voice of the field: Share market feedback to shape messaging, pricing, and product roadmap. Qualifications
2+ years of field sales experience in payroll, insurance, and/or human resources Proven track record as a new-logo hunter with strong discovery, demo, and negotiation skills Comfort selling to small business owners, particularly in construction, restaurant, and service industries Clear written and verbal communication skills A self-starter mindset and the ability to plan a territory Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and modern CRM tools Bachelor’s degree Benefits

W-2, commission-only First-year On-Target Earnings: $85,000 to $125,000 at plan (normal ramp assumptions) Commissions: Uncapped with accelerators above 100% attainment Residuals: Earn monthly recurring commissions on your entire active book Top performers: Earn $200,000+ annually.
