Position Overview
Senior‑level Civil Designer to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the U.S. Air Force’s Sentinel program in Ogden, UT.
This on‑siteкое position offers a 9‑X‑80 work schedule (every other Friday off), paid overtime, and a great work/life balance.
For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance may be provided.
Key Duties
Support design development of civil site engineering designs for the Sentinel program by preparing studies, drawings, and evaluations following applicable codes, standards, and contract requirements.
Work with other civil designers/engineers and technical disciplines in a team environment.
Originate and check civil site deliverables of moderate complexity, including drawings and 3‑D models of earthwork/site design.
Review civil/structural deliverables of moderate complexity, including drawings and 3‑D models for steel and concrete.
Interpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.
Report design quantities compared to estimated quantities.
Work with civil/structural supervisors to plan, budget, and schedule drawing and 3‑D model deliverables within the discipline.
Participate in project design/model reviews.
Participate in constructability reviews.
Review and coordinate technical documents with and from other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
Only U.S岁的 citizens are eligible.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
Must possess a valid, unexpired Real‑ID‑compliant driver's license or state‑issued ID.
Ability to complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
Advanced experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Revit.
Work experience should emphasize civil site design and horizontal projects such as rail and telecommunications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Familiarity with AASHTHO, ASTM, ACI, FHWA, MUTCD, and WBDG UFC codes.
Knowledge of construction materials, details, and techniques.
Understanding of the technical responsibilities of other disciplines associated with facilities design.
Ability to independently execute detailed design drawings of civil site systems of moderate complexity.
Thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables such as drawings and specifications.
Clear communication of technical issues in writing and verbally.
Ability to resolve design issues with other engineering disciplines, construction, and the client.
High‑school diploma or equivalent with 15+ years of related design experience, Associate of Arts or Science with 11+ years of related experience, or Bachelor of Science with 6+ years of related experience.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Experience dopamine utilities civil engineering or outside‑plant engineering (.books).
Experience with horizontal directional drilling, jack & bore drilling, and executing field‑design for horizontal projects.
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and integration with engineering design deliverables.
Associate of Arts in Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher, or knowledge of other process improvement programs.
