JOB SUMMARY:
The Telephone Sales Representative CA and TX is responsible for handling telephone calls from internal and external customers. This position must support internal business partners and their CA and TX based members in facilitating a purchase of a Home Warranty product. The Telephone Sales Representative must reside in TX or CA and have a valid Personal Lines Insurance Producer or General Lines Property and Casualty Producer license for the state of California or Texas. The position requires adaptation to a fast‑paced sales environment that provides opportunities for both inbound and outbound sales contact.
Responsibilities
Must be a Texas or California resident.
Must hold a valid Personal Lines Insurance Producer or General Lines Property and Casualty Producer license for TX or CA.
Connects with customers via telephone, services their needs, and sells Protection Agreements while positioning additional services products using a scripted sales presentation that follows call strategies.
Applies communication and customer service skills to manage and resolve customer concerns.
Delivers the sales presentation with passion, commitment, courtesy, professionalism, and in conformance to policy and procedure.
Offers the best value for the customer in terms of price, discounts, multiple/additional products, and maximum term and stresses.
Features the benefits of the products and uses available resources and skills to overcome objections.
Corrects information on record when appropriate, and properly records agreements, sales processing, and recordings.
Maintains a high level of business/product knowledge via onsite and online training.
Works with management staff and team members to provide the highest level of sales and service results to achieve individual and team goals.
Complies with and adheres to ethical selling policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of related experience.
License/certification in a relevant field.
18 years of age or older.
Required Skills
Must reside in TX or CA and hold a valid Personal Lines Insurance Producer or General Lines Property and Casualty Producer license.
Previous Home Warranty or Real Estate knowledge and/or experience is critical.
Ability to apply effective sales and service‑related influencing skills based on the call type being handled.
Fundamental understanding of Home Warranty policies.
Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills are essential.
Utilization of basic mathematical functions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows‑based programs.
Team player able to work closely with customers, builders, and subcontractors in a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation Range: $18.00 hourly; Performance Range Plan; Base plus commission; California Commission Associates (both C & D); paid hourly rate and may earn commissions and incentives.
