Community Financial System, Inc. This role is in the retail division of Community Bank, N.A., which operates more than 200 customer facilities across Upstate New York, Northeastern Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Western Massachusetts. Overview

We offer commercial banking, wealth management, investment management, insurance and risk management, and benefit plan administration. Responsibilities

Spread mid to complex financial statements in compliance with bank standards. Prepare Credit Offering Memorandums on mid to complex borrowers with commercial lenders. Compile borrower’s total bank relationship. Manage personal workload to ensure completion of assignments within prescribed timelines. Make recommendations to commercial lenders regarding risk ratings and address loan policy exceptions, structural weaknesses, appraisal exceptions, and environmental waivers. Prepare semi‑annual reports on trends within industries where the bank may have potential credit concentrations. Provide guidance and on‑the‑job training to Credit Underwriter 1s. Assist in achieving the Credit Administration Department’s annual goals. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls. Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. degree in a business‑related field (finance, management, economics, accounting) with at least 6 credits in accounting. Specialized financial analysis training. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills. Proficient interpersonal and communication skills. Thorough knowledge of current lending and banking regulations, loan policies, and procedures. Proven ability to analyze and interpret financial statements. Moderate loan structuring skills. Technical supervisory skills sufficient for training Credit Underwriter 1s. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related departmental computer programs. Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Credit Underwriter 1. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Pay Range

Base pay: $23.30/hr – $35.07/hr, commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase. Benefits
