Rewards and Benefits Salary: starting पैसे $63,036.00 to maximum $99,259.01. Position has per annum pay increases and a time‑in‑service bonus of 5% of the annual salary every three years.

Position Summary Police Officer provides law enforcement and public safety services, including enforcement of state and local laws, criminal and crash investigation, crime prevention, and traffic enforcement.

Responsibilities

Enforced federal, state, and local laws, including traffic ordinances.

Assisted in investigations using state and federal practices and techniques.

Educated the public on city code, ordinances, and state statutes.

Protected property and residents through preventive patrol by vehicle, bicycle, and on foot; conducted after‑hours patrols.

Investigated vehicular crashes, directed traffic, coordinated vehicle removal, and dispatched emergency medical personnel.

Administered first aid and emergency medical care until EMTs arrived.

Assisted in investigations of missing persons, civil matters, and noise disturbances.

Retrieved pertinent information from emergency and non‑emergency calls.

Maintained proper care and use of patrol vehicle, equipment, and weaponry.

Participated in community outreach initiatives.

Performed non‑criminal public safety 菲 services.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Kansas Law Enforcement Officer certification.

Completed Leawood Police Department Officer Training Program.

Acceptable discipline, accident, and safety record.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per city policy.
