Lead Generation Outreach Specialist
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) seeks a Lead Generation Outreach Specialist to implement a lead generation strategy that generates results to meet VEDP Lead Generation Teams’ performance metrics.
Responsibilities
Execute an aggressive lead generation strategy targeting corporate prospects and site selection consultants
Support VEDP’s mission and build awareness of Virginia as a desirable business location by providing accurate information about Virginia business assets and VEDP’s services
Employ appointment setting and qualification techniques to set up high-quality appointments for Lead Generation Business Managers
Utilize digital applications, telemarketing, and email techniques to conduct outreach campaigns
Support direct marketing program with data verification and accurately updating all company and client data
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all call campaigns
Maintain minimum average dial‑per‑hour rates and positive ranking for all set appointments
Skills
Experience using lead generation marketing applications such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, CB Insights, and Alpha Sense is preferred
Highly detail oriented and ability to multi‑task
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work, lead, and generate results in time‑sensitive situations
Ability to work constructively and effectively in a team environment by making positive contributions to the team’s operations, functions, and working relationships
Demonstrated problem solving capabilities in a business environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must be able to handle rejection specific to phone contacts
Experience
At least 1 year of experience in a business setting
Experience working in an economic development environment is a plus
Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment. VEDP uses the E‑Verify system and does not provide sponsorship.
