Position Description AGAR is seeking an Experiential Graphic Designer with 3-5 years of experience in the strategic creative creation of immersive experiences from conception through design development. The Experiential Graphic Designer will generate compelling mood boards, conceptual sketches, and detailed elevations to communicate the vision and story of experiential concepts that meet client expectations and grow AGAR’s creative portfolio.
The Experiential Graphic Designer will support the Creative Director and project teams by applying AGAR’s Design Process to a variety of complex projects such as branded environments, experiential events and brand activations, pop-up events, retail experiences, public art, and branding projects.
Job Responsibilities
Engage with Strategy and Creative Directors in vision-setting and brainstorming sessions and bring ideas, energy, trends, and innovation into every project.
Deliver high-quality creative concepts that provide strategic solutions (both narrative and visual) in collaboration with other designers.
Orchestrate typography, color, imagery, form, technology, and content to design visually stimulating graphics that communicate and best represent the concepts being presented and client brand guidelines.
Review concepts, revisions and approvals with internal teams and clients.
Study and evaluate current industry and consumer trends and appropriately incorporate them into assigned design projects.
Assist with selecting and managing design personnel including junior staff, freelancers and interns.
Embody AGAR’s vision, mission, guiding principles, processes and core values.
Participate in and contribute to internal meetings and company-owned events.
Desired Skills & Experience
BS/BA in Graphic Design or related field
3-5 years of post‑graduate experience in graphic design or retail design, experience in environmental and branding projects preferred.
Proficient in design/project software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (must know how to work at scale). Additional knowledge/expertise in 3D concepts in CAD tools, Sketch‑Up, Enscape or Vray skills are a plus.
Experience Design Development process for fabricated works a plus
Thrives in fast‑paced, high‑pressure situations by making decisions, thinking critically and creating solutions.
Must have excellent written/oral communication skills. Copywriting skills are a plus.
