The NDT Level II Radiographer Technician independently performs NDT inspections using approved NDT techniques to identify corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions in accordance with written criteria.
Position Summary
The NDT Level II Radiographer Technician independently performs nondestructive testing inspections using approved NDT techniques to identify corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions in accordance with written criteria. The technician is responsible for conducting inspections, interpreting indications, documenting and reporting results per company requirements, and communicating processes, procedures, and findings clearly and professionally to customers while supporting safe and efficient operations.

Performs all duties as assigned while adhering to TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices
Assists the Senior Technician and instructs apprentice-level personnel on the job
Studies to gain additional NDT certifications while gaining hands-on experience in various NDT methods
Performs any duties assigned by the Senior Technician on the job
Performs supervisory activities over apprentice-level personnel as needed
Maintains required NDT certifications
Performs NDT inspections for which certification is held
Interprets and reports inspection results and maintains accurate documentation of inspection activities
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Understanding of basic math
Ability to work in Microsoft Word
Ability to work with computers and computerized equipment
Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods
Previous Level II certification in a minimum of one method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET) preferred
Willingness to travel 0–75%
Ability to handle chemicals safely
Ability to follow instructions
Work Conditions
Position is based out of a branch or site location
Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere
Regular interaction with other crew members, supervisors, and client personnel
Work performed in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
Must be able to wear required safety equipment for personal protection
May work at more than one job site in a day and tolerate climate changes
May be required to travel out of town periodically
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
Ability to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to communicate effectively
Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform inspections
Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform routine office duties
Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform duties and travel to off-site locations
Ability to maneuver within refinery or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
