HR Operations Manager at The Hair Shop Inc. About the Role

The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for producing engaging, trend‑driven content that supports both organic and paid social initiatives across key platforms. This role requires strong storytelling, hands‑off editing skills, trend fluency, and a working understanding of performance metrics (KPIs) to inform creative decisions. The ideal candidate understands the differences between organic and paid content and can collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver high‑performing assets.

Key Responsibilities

Shoot, edit, and deliver social‑first photo and video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, with assets optimized and reformatted per platform.

Manage the social content calendar from planning through execution, including writing on‑brand, performance‑driven captions and overseeing scheduling and posting across channels.

Actively engage with the community across all platforms, including comments, DMs, and mentions.

Identify influencer and creator partnerships and coordinate outreach, communication, product seeding, and UGC delivery to meet monthly content goals.

Identify emerging trends, audio, formats, and cultural moments, translating them into weekly content concepts that support organic storytelling and paid performance tied to campaigns, promotions, product launches, and brand priorities.

Build content needs lists and shot lists for brand campaigns and seasonal initiatives.

Collaborate closely with the Brand Manager on seasonal shoots, understanding the differing creative needs, timelines, and production processes for organic versus paid content.

Organize, maintain, and manage social content assets to ensure easy accessibility across teams.

Partner cross‑functionally with Marketing, Retail, EDU, and E‑comm teams to ensure cohesive messaging, creative alignment, and content that supports broader brand and performance goals.

Track, analyze, and report on organic and paid social performance metrics, applying insights to optimize creative, improve results, and inform future content direction.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in social media management and content creation.

Experience in the beauty industry is a plus.

Strong visual storytelling, photography, video editing, and creative execution skills.

Proficiency in editing tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, Canva, and similar platforms.

Familiarity with posting and content management platforms such as Rella.

Solid understanding of social KPIs and how creative impacts performance across both organic and paid channels.

Ability to differentiate and create content tailored for organic versus paid use cases.

A portfolio showcasing social‑first video, photography, and creative work.

Ability to work quickly, collaboratively, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
