Job Summary As a Growth Marketing Analyst, you will drive data‑informed decision‑making across Venmo’s lifecycle, paid media, and partnership channels. This role sits within the Growth Marketing team and serves as the strategic bridge between marketing and our analytics partners—ensuring data translates into action. You will own the marketing‑side analytics process: shaping requests, synthesizing outputs, and delivering performance narratives that drive decisions. You will also serve as the business owner of our measurement requirements, representing marketing’s needs as we evolve our attribution, incrementality, and reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities
Liaise with media agencies on launch plans, optimization roadmaps, and budget alignment
Work with creative teams to define roadmaps, review proposals, and ensure seamless execution
Activate co‑branding campaigns, product launches, and report results to leadership
Drive churn experimentation strategy, including ideation, testing, and customer experience evaluation
Write experiment briefs, testing plans, and coordinate end‑to‑end implementation
Monitor experiments post‑launch, identify insights, and optimize in‑flight results
Manage budget reporting, including agency costs and incentive payouts, for all campaigns
Qualifications
3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience
Additional Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications
Own weekly and monthly performance reporting for Marketing, synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear narratives with actionable recommendations
Partner with channel and product marketing leads to analyze campaign performance, identify trends, diagnose issues, and surface optimization opportunities
Develop visualizations and presentations that make complex data accessible to marketers and leadership
Manage the analytics request pipeline for Growth Marketing—scoping briefs, clarifying requirements, and ensuring analyses are set up for actionable outcomes
Partner with Marketing Analytics, Marketing Effectiveness, and Product Analytics to translate their outputs into marketing strategy and action
Serve as the business owner of marketing measurement martech requirements, ensuring our technical needs are clearly defined and represented in roadmap discussions
Identify patterns across campaigns and channels that inform investment decisions and test design
Support marketing planning with data synthesis, scenario modeling, and performance benchmarking
Build frameworks and documentation that enable marketers to self‑serve on routine data questions
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in marketing analytics, growth analytics, or marketing strategy roles—ideally in consumer fintech, payments, or digital commerce
Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language (Python or R) for data exploration and validation
Hands‑on experience with enterprise BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar) to build and modify dashboards
Proven ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and translate it into strategic recommendations
Working knowledge of marketing measurement: attribution, incrementality, cohort analysis, and how these connect to business decisions
Excellent communication skills—able to build a narrative from data and present it clearly to marketers and executives
Experience working in matrixed environments, partnering with analytics teams you don’t directly manage
Familiarity with lifecycle marketing metrics (engagement, retention, LTV) and omnichannel measurement challenges
Exposure to Marketing Mix Modeling or econometric approaches to marketing measurement is a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Financial services/fintech experience is a plus but not required
PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to work location, and relevant skills and experience. The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $84,500 to $140,250.
