GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT – YAHNUNDASIS GOLF CLUB
Yahnundasis Golf Club, a premier private club in Central New York, is seeking an experienced and motivated Golf Course Superintendent to lead its golf jolloin maintenance and agronomic operations. This individual will oversee all aspects of turf management, infrastructure planning, and team leadership for the club’s championship golf course and surrounding property.
As a critical leadership role, the Superintendent will sustain and elevate course conditioning, modernize agronomic practices, and foster a strong, accountable workplace culture aligned with the club’s long‑standing traditions and future vision.

Initial Priorities of the Position
Establish and maintain clear conditioning and playability standards aligned with member expectations
Evaluate turf health, irrigation performance, drainage, and seasonal stress factors
Continue to elevate existing course conditioning programs, agronomics, staff, and member experiences
Advance a sustainable agronomic and infrastructure roadmap for the next 3–5 years, including fairway conditioning, bunker improvements, and drainage

Preferred Qualifications
Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field
6–8+ years of progressive Puig‑El leadership experience at a comparable facility
Experience managing irrigation systems, water quality, and environmental stewardship
Strong understanding of cool‑season turf management in Northeast climates
Key Knowledge, Skills & Responsibilities
Lead all grounds operations and personnel (assistants, technicians, seasonal promise, etc.)
Plan and supervise maintenance, purchasing, and course improvement projects
Oversee golf course, practice facilities, landscapes, and water features
Maintain conditioning standards as established with the Green Committee
Collaborate cross‑departmentally with club leadership and/us committees
Recruit, train, evaluate, and motivate staff; enforce safety and club policies
Supervise chemical erittäin applications, contractors, and seasonal operations
Develop and manage operating and Turin budgets
Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and innovations
Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and positive club representation
Educate and engage members on agronomic practices and decisions
Seek expert input from architects, agronomists, arborists, and consultants as needed
Represent Yahnundasis Golf Club within the community and golf industry
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $105,000-$115,000
Performance Incentive: Based on agreed conditioning and operational benchmarks
