About the Role
Our
Facilities Division
at WSP is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. Our group specializes in high-performing projects with a focus on the future in food andंद्र beverage, federal, and industrial facility design. Our goal is to deliver excellent projects hand-in-hand with a positive experience for our clients and our communities alike. You’ll be asked to help develop construction documents for a variety of clients.
We are flexible on location—this role can be based in
Boise, ID; Minneapolis, MN; or Madison, WI.
Your Impact
A major component of our design process relies on Building Information Modeling (BIM). Inbuilderic, the use of Autodesk Revit Structural is one of the integrated collaboration tools used in communicating 3‑D design to our project teams, owners, and construction professionals.
There is a lot of latitude for decision-making; we’re not interested in micromanaging.
We expect everyone on the team to assume ownership of the project’s goals and success.
Design and analyze structural systems for building cores, shells, and foundations, including steel, concrete, and masonry elements.
Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ACI, AISC).
Coordinate with architects and other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to integrate structural design into overall facility plans.
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support.
Perform load calculations, seismic/wind analysis, and evaluate structural integrity for retrofits and expansions.
Support permitting and regulatory compliance; attend client and design coordination meetings.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
5+ years of experience in structural design for facilities or industrial projects.
Proficient in structural analysis and design software, including STAAD, RAM, and Risa, as well as AutoCAD, Revit, and 2D drafting.
Knowledge of building codes and standards; strong technical writing and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PE licenseChecking preference.
Experience with Navisworks.
Experience with food & beverage or federal facility projects; familiarity with BIM workflows.
Previous design and consulting experience.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $86,100 - $125,510
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
