Software Relationship Manager

Responsible for prospecting and running Heartland Point of Sale presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to ultimately close deals within a fast sales cycle. As a Software Relationship Manager (SRM) you will report to a District Manager and receive coaching from a Director. Activities include explaining our value proposition and demonstrating our cloud based Point of Sale solution, upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services, and maintaining regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager. Your role as a SRM is to close sales of our business solutions with merchants throughout the area. You will work closely with your local District Manager to set appointments with business owners in person via your network and referral partnerships that you build. You will then run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland Point of Sale solutions to close sales in small to mid-sized businesses. During the training period, your District Manager will accompany you on your initial appointments to train you on our short-cycle sales process using our CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce, used for lead generation, sales presentations, on the spot client financial analysis and paperless contract processing. Additional responsibilities include prospecting new clients, maintaining existing/prospective client records in accordance with company policies, achieving minimum production requirements, continuously building and developing knowledge of current product/service portfolio as well as changes and developments within the financial technology industry, attending weekly team meeting and weekly one-on-one with leader, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Desired skills and capabilities include excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills, working well independently and as part of a team, incentive-driven sales "hunter", professional demeanor and impeccable integrity, high sense of urgency and innate sales talent, enjoying cold-calling and speaking with people face to face, and knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus. Minimum qualifications include being 18 years of age or older, having a valid drivers license, undergoing a background check and drug screening, living in the area relative to job posting location, and being able to be in the field a minimum of 75% of the time. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma/GED and at least two years of relevant experience. Competencies include awareness, driven, resilient, respectful, and committedness. Compensation includes a base salary of $50,000, residual income, monthly/quarterly bonuses, and an annual on-target earnings (OTE) of $100,000+. Your total compensation will depend on your skills, performance, and location.
