Position Purpose:
Responsible for creating user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes and optimizing existing user interface designs for applications. Tests for intuitively and experience, develops technical and business requirements related to user experience, and strives to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions that enhance user satisfaction by improving the usability and accessibility for the end user of applications.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and Requires 4 - 6 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Technical Skills: One or more of the following skills are desired.
Experience with Other: user experience and design tools such as but not limited to Adobe CC, Sketch, and InVision

Responsibilities:
Partners with UX Researchers to perform user experience research, interviews, and usability tests to inform design decisions and define user problems
Shapes effective and efficient interaction designs for complex data-intensive domains that reflect the key requirements of end users, while applying consistent design principles to ensure a seamless user experience across applications
Creates low to high fidelity wireframes (illustrations) and prototypes which provide visual representation of the products
Develops concepts and prototypes to help stakeholders envision proposed user experiences
Communicates conceptual ideas, prototypes, and the specifics of user-centered design process to product, engineering, and key stakeholders
Collaborates with the broader UX team on the establishment of common design standards and shared UI components for adoption across product lines
Works directly with Product Managers UX Researchers and Engineers to outline and define end-user needs and balance execution of desired business product requirements
Partners with business and IT stakeholders to plan, research, and facilitate UX processes, including design thinking / human centered design activities for service and products across digital and non-digital touchpoints
Work closely with stakeholder teams during design and development phases to ensure project UI goals and deadlines are met
Works cross-functionally with other designers to ensure quality and consistency of work
Maintains consistency in visual elements or UI behavior across products Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards

Do you have any additional upcoming hiring needs or is this request part of a larger hiring initiative? The conversation design team sits within our Digital Experience & Engagement organization, responsible for designing experiences for our customers and partners in all digital channels. Specifically, we focus on the design of conversation dialogue with IVR & chatbots to support members and providers when they need further assistance. We are a diverse & collaborative team that encourages creativity and accessibility in everything we produce.
Typical Day in the Role
Walk me through the day-to-day responsibilities and a description of the project (Outside of the Workday JD). What are the performance expectations/metrics? What makes this role unique? Conversation designers will work with stakeholders, product designers, and user researchers to create the best experience possible for our users through IVR prompts, user flows, chat dialogue, and utterance routing. We are responsible for representing Centene's established brand, voice, and tone guidelines as well as ensuring we meet readability & accessibility regulations at the state level. Our team is also responsible for creating and updating our conversation writing style guide as an extension of Centene's brand guidelines.
Support UX/HCD activities, including consultations, design sprints, and facilitating workshop sessions. pply human-centric design principles and tools to clarify problems, create shared alignment, and craft appropriate solutions that keep the focus on the end-user while balancing business requirements. Consistently build prototypes, conversation flows, and other deliverables in an efficient manner. Liaise to apply intelligent and consistent UX processes with all stakeholders. Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining user journeys and content designs for our contact center technologies as well as monitoring and troubleshooting problems. Serve as a liaison between all business groups, operations, and our contact centers. Monitor and analyze IVR & chat usage to determine health plan needs and recommend content updates and features. Participate in content reviews and audits, including providing qualitative analysis of IVR & chat content and making recommendations to align with business goals. Produce and maintain accurate logs of IVR & chat changes to monitor data and track potential errors. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards
