Overview

Employee Relations Manager at Latham & Watkins. The Employee Relations Manager is part of the Human Capital & Talent team, managing aspects of the global employee relations program, advising business partners, interpreting HR policies, and tracking employment laws globally. This role is located in the Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles with potential hybrid in-office schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the firms priorities, culture, and values.
  • Act as a point of escalation for practice office HR teams on employee matters related to performance management and conflict resolution, ensuring prompt resolution in line with policies and legal requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Conduct and/or advise on investigations into complex employee matters, ensuring fairness and compliance.
  • Advise business leaders and managers on employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in human resources or investigations.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in implementing and administering HR policies and procedures with some supervision of people.
Requirements & Abilities
  • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment laws and precedents (e.g., OSHA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, ADEA, FMLA).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of traditional HR functions.
  • Judgment and discretion in decision-making.

Pay Range

USD 170,000.00 USD 190,000.00 per year
