Overview KCNC/TV is seeking an aggressive and creative Reporter. Ideal candidate loves breaking news and in-depth storytelling.
Responsibilities Report scripted and unscripted news with clarity, accuracy, confidence, and urgency.
Conduct compelling in‑person interviews and collaborate with wide personnel to create content.
Maintain a commitment to accuracy and fairness.
Write clearly, illustrate with video and graphics, and edit packages for daily newscasts.
Strong live‑shot skills required.
Generate story ideas, participate in editorial meetings, and produce content for social media and streaming service.
Appear at public and station events, establish and maintain community relationships and sources.
Qualifications Three years’ on‑air experience, preferably in a top 20 market.
Independent work style with high accuracy and quick problem solving.
Very strong social media skills across all platforms.
Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and on‑call shifts.
Other duties as assigned.
Education College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Salary Hourly $56.25 – $56.25 (geographically variable).
