The Web Proxy Platform Architect & Engineer serves as a technical leader, responsible for designing, engineering, and deploying advanced web proxy solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Lead architecture and engineering efforts for web proxy platforms, setting technical direction and mentoring team members.
• Champion collaboration across Information Security, Engineering, Governance, and Operations teams to develop, refine, and enforce security policies and best practices.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment of proxy solutions with business requirements and risk management goals.
Solution Architecture & Engineering
• Architect, engineer, and implement comprehensive web proxy platforms, including SSE CASB, SWG, and ZTNA.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deploy new web proxy solutions across the enterprise.
• Integrate proxy platforms with other security solutions and data sources for seamless protection and visibility.
Develop and transition operational procedures (MOPS) for configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of proxy solutions.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex, multi-platform network issues.
• Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain web proxy solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a focus on configuring, operating, and managing both premise and cloud-based forward proxies.
• SME-level proficiency with Forcepoint Web Security, Palo Alto Web Proxy, Prisma Access, Broadcom, and Squid.
• Strong understanding of web applications, platforms, firewalls, frameworks, and protocols related to application development and operation.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, web protocols, networking concepts, and attack vectors.
• Expertise in log analysis, data correlation, packet capture, and script writing using mainstream languages.
• Senior-level understanding of PKI technology and familiarity with open-source and commercial security tools.
Cyber Defense & Incident Response
• Solid grasp of incident response processes and prior experience in cybersecurity operations.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information security/systems, or equivalent experience.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of building and guiding high-performing teams.
• Ability to perform under pressure and urgent circumstances.
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or Cybersecurity. Our Principal Cybersecurity earns between $155,400-$233,200 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
