Job Overview:

The Art Director owns and scales our visual storytelling across eCommerce, paid media, and social platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring that every customer touchpoint tells one clear, consistent, conversion-oriented story.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Visual Ownership & Brand Consistency

  • Own Azazie's end-to-end visual direction across; eCommerce, Paid media and Organic social
  • Ensure all visuals are telling the same story, with consistent Styling, Composition, Model direction, Fit representation, Color, lighting, and realism.
  • Establish and maintain clear visual standards and guidelines to ensure alignment across internal teams and external partners.

E-commerce & Conversion-Focused Art Direction

  • Art direct imagery that prioritize, Fit clarity, Fabric realism, Proportion and movement, Customer trust
  • Partner closely with eCommerce, Marketing, and Performance teams to optimize visuals for conversion, test and iterate poses, angles, backdrops, and formats and apply learnings from performance data to future shoots

Paid Media & Social Visual Strategy

  • Translate eCommerce visuals into high-performing ad and social formats without losing consistency or credibility.
  • Ensure paid and organic content feels Native to platform and on-brand
  • Guide visual hooks, first frames, and modular creative systems for ads at scale.

Systems, Scale & Production

  • Build repeatable visual systems that allow Azazie to ship hundreds of SKUs efficiently.
  • Partner with Production, Studio, and Operations to create scalable shoot templates, Improve speed-to-market, Balance quality, cost, and volume
  • Art direct internal and external studios, photographers, stylists, and retouchers.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a key creative partner to Marketing, Merchandising, Product & Design
  • Clearly communicate visual decisions and tradeoffs, grounded in both brand integrity and business impact.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as an Art Director with a strong eCommerce and performance focus.
  • Proven experience in DTC fashion, large-scale eCommerce, or performance-driven creative environments.
  • Deep understanding of PDP optimization, Paid social creative and platform-specific formats
  • Experience shipping high SKU volume content.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable balancing creative opinion with data and results.
  • Excellent communication skills with executive-level partners.
  • Experience managing key metrics with demonstrated ability to share insight from data with key stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
