Fast-growing alternative investment firm seeking a Growth Vice President/Principal.
Company Information An industry-leading private credit firm and direct lender with over $80 billion in AUM.
Job Description The role focuses on sourcing, executing, and managing debt and equity investments across the capital structure, with an emphasis on structured equity investments in growth-stage software companies.
New Investments (majority of time):
Source and evaluate new investment opportunities in high-growth software companies across credit, structured equity, and minority equity.
Structure and negotiate investment terms consistent with the Firm’s strategy and risk profile.
Lead deal teams and oversee diligence covering business, industry, financial performance, and exit considerations.
Prepare and present investment memoranda to the Firm’s Investment Committee.
Negotiate legal documentation with internal and external counsel.
Build relationships with founders, venture investors, and industry participants.
Mentor junior investment professionals.
Manage and monitor a portfolio of existing investments.
Support portfolio company growth initiatives, including add-on acquisitions and financings.
Review financial performance, liquidity, and covenant compliance.
Lead quarterly portfolio reviews and manage amendment requests as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
8+ years of investment experience, including 5+ years focused on high-growth software companies.
Experience sourcing, structuring, and evaluating investments across the capital structure, including structured equity.
Established network within the venture capital and growth equity community.
Strong communication skills with external stakeholders.
Enthusiastic about working in-office and contributing to a high-quality hybrid work culture.
