Part-time Business and Community Development Representative
for our
Golden Gate
Branch in San Francisco.
The Position
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving membership growth exclusively within the San Francisco State University (SFSU) community. This role serves as the primary point of contact for SFSU-related outreach and engagement, working closely with students, faculty, alumni, and staff to promote credit union membership, financial wellness, and awareness and utilization of appropriate financial products and services. The BDR represents the Credit Union on campus through events, orientations, and educational initiatives to build long-term relationships, membership growth, and increase brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities and Functions
Serve as a business development contact for San Francisco State University, supporting membership growth among students, faculty, alumni, and staff.
Conduct regular onsite visits, financial wellness seminars, and promotional events to attract new members and deepen existing relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams to support SFSU-specific campaigns, promotions, and outreach materials.
Promote and educate the SFSU community on credit union products and services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
Track and report SFSU membership growth, engagement activity, and outreach outcomes.
Coordinate with branch staff and internal partners to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new SFSU members.
Maintain accurate records of campus activities, member interactions, and follow-up efforts related to SFSU initiatives.
Represent the credit union at community events, trade shows, chamber meetings, and financial education sessions.
Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services (e.g., checking accounts, loans, credit cards) to meet business development goals.

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of partners and adapt to change during events.
Detail-oriented, organized, self-driven with the ambition to achieve results with the ability to prioritize, analyze, and execute autonomously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Complies with appropriate legal, regulatory, internal control and quality standard requirements of the Credit Union including the Bank Secrecy Act.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
