Sales Engineer - Carrier Services

As a Sales Engineer focused on Carrier Services, you’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor to internal teams, partners, and customers—helping to shape and deliver solutions that drive revenue and customer success.
This is a dynamic, customer-facing role where your technical expertise and communication skills will directly influence how customers perceive our value. You’ll be instrumental in designing and presenting solutions across colocation, WAN, and carrier services, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely, high-quality proposals.
What You’ll Do
Provide pre‑sales technical guidance to sales teams, partners, and customers.
Design and present network and colocation solutions tailored to customer needs.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business value.
Prepare technical documentation, including solution design drawings.
Respond to RFIs/RFPs and support proposal development.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate solution delivery.
Travel within the sales territory as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Networking, or Computer Science preferred.
5+ years of experience in data communications, with a focus on Carrier services.
Strong knowledge of:
WAN technologies (Optical Wave, Carrier/Metro Ethernet, MPLS VPN, SD‑WAN, Private Line)
SONET, DWDM, and routing protocols like BGP
Colocation infrastructure, power distribution, and cross‑connects
Network security principles and best practices
Proficiency in Salesforce, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Earth.
Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
