Your Role on the Team The Manager in Training (MIT) program offers a supportive six- to nine-month training experience designed to build your confidence, knowledge, and skills in affordable housing. Through a mix of online learning, instructor-led sessions, and hands‑on training rotations, you’ll work closely alongside experienced managers and collaborative teams who are invested in your success. The goal of the MIT program is to prepare you for a smooth transition into a Community Manager role within the LHP portfolio, setting you up for long‑term growth and stability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership potential, a customer‑focused mindset, flexibility and adaptability, sound judgment, a commitment to doing what’s right, and a genuine desire to work collaboratively while serving residents and communities.

Our Ideal Manager‑in‑Training Candidate?

Previous experience in property management is a plus but not required.

Proven background in customer service and people leadership.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Valid Driver’s License required.

Comfortable with frequent travel between LHP properties and training locations.

A purpose‑driven individual who is passionate about serving others and making a positive impact in the communities they support.
