Come join our Team in Newton, Kansas as an Assembler/Assembly Operator!
This position is responsible for putting together parts or pieces following a set of blueprints or schematics. The assembler is also responsible for verifying correct quantities of parts and checking completed items for quality in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for trailer assembly (wiring, decals, latches, doors, hardware, toolboxes, etc.)
Perform touch up paint and inspect for quality of paint jobs
Inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify cause of errors or other problems/defects, and to ensure the product is in working order and function.
Prepare and inventory parts and materials for the assembly lines
Maintain a safety awareness attitude along with remaining alert to potential hazards.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization by keeping tools, material, and equipment in proper places.
Ensure proper safety procedures are followed and person protective equipment is worn at all times.
Utilize equipment and material to maximize production and minimize costs for quality control purposes.
Provide production support in other areas as needed
Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues as they arise.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
1+ year industry experience including assembly or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
