Essential Job Functions

Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.

Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them with merchandise selection.

Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as directed.

Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.

Provide excellent phone service, including accurately looking up parts and quote prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low‑Price Guarantee.

Maintain financial integrity by accurately handling the cash drawer, accepting cash and/or checks, making change, and processing credit card transactions.

Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, following company policies.

Address and resolve customer complaints graciously.

Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.

Perform various operational tasks such as preparing merchandise returns for shipping, monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, and more.

Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and meeting company requirements.

Perform in‑store services for customers where state and local laws allow (e.g., installing wipers, testing batteries, scanning vehicle trouble codes, replacing headlight capsules).

Occasionally operate a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate, meeting required driving eligibility requirements.

Complete all other duties as assigned.

Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities Required:

Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.

Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.

Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.

Desired:

Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, the Weatherly Index system, and automotive sales or service.

ASE certification.

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
