Position Overview
The In-Room Dining Coordinator is the voice, the organizer, and the heartbeat behind every in-room dining experience. From the first phone call to the final presentation, this role ensures that each order is handled with precision, care, and genuine hospitality. As a key liaison between guests, the culinary team, and service staff, the In-Room Dining Coordinator orchestrates seamless service, anticipates needs, and ensures every tray reflects The Ben’s luxury standards. This position also plays a vital role in setting up guest amenities and coordinating VIP requests across departments—and steps in to support service delivery when needed to maintain excellence at all times. Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Order Coordination
Answer in-room dining calls promptly and professionally, using proper phone etiquette and brand language.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, including special requests, dietary needs, and allergy considerations.
Enter orders into the POS system with precision and attention to detail.
Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to guide guests confidently.
Service Execution
Coordinate order timing with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth, timely delivery.
Monitor order status and proactively follow up on delays or additional guest requests.
Ensure all in-room dining trays and deliveries meet presentation, quality, and brand standards.
Support service staff by preparing checks, coordinating deliveries, and tracking orders from start to finish.
In the absence of an In-Room Dining Attendant, step in to assist with delivery and service as needed.
Amenities & VIP Coordination
Set up in-room amenities with attention to detail, elegance, and personalization.
Coordinate VIP and special occasion amenities with other departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Culinary.
Ensure amenities are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with guest preferences and expectations.
Service Recovery & Standards
Handle guest concerns or service recovery situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
Adhere to all hotel policies, food safety standards, and service procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area at all times.
