Summary
The primary purpose of this position is day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of one month’s related experience ;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations. Set up duties also involve litter and waste removal, ball washer maintenance and general care and upkeep of course amenities. Mowing and grooming; keep up playability and high quality appearance. Walking and riding equipment. Hand water turf; requires moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions. This task is essential to keeping healthy turf. Hand labor; including raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to groom the course.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high or precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be aware of surroundings with an understanding of a golf environment. Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings including errant golf balls and must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.
