Role Overview As the leasing consultant, you’ll have a big mission: respond to inquiries/leads from prospective clients, identify potential renters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager.
Maintain a strong understanding of the community and local market competitors’ specials and floor plans.
Process lease application paperwork for approval by the CM and prepare new lease contracts.
Inspect all target and/or show units in advance and in preparation for greeting and touring new prospects.
Inspect pre-leased apartments prior to the move-in date and promptly communicate any concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager.
Utilize and promote all third-party online leasing programs appropriately.
Log prospect information and notifications accurately in the Property Management software.
Check, respond to, and document community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages.
Stay up to date with all promotion/leasing incentives.
Assist with completing Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) accurately and within the specified deadline.
Post notices to vacate and other community communication, if applicable.
Assist with daily community inspections to ensure community policies are being followed.
Other duties as assigned.
You Have
Previous experience in a customer-facing/customer service role.
Demonstrated sales and closing skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Where required by law, must have state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe required by law.
Work Schedule Monday-Friday (work schedule may vary). Some overtime may be required and ability to work extended hours including “on-call” and/or participate in a rotating “on-call” schedule as needed to meet business needs.
