We are seeking an individual to develop quality and cost effective packages. Responsibilities include component design and development and package testing and analysis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Guide technical, aesthetic & cost aspects of the design process Execute feasibility on COGS & lead-times Direct component sketches and models Review and approve CAD drawings and component blueprints Lead packaging tooling efforts Review and approve color/deco submissions Conduct packaging compatibility, analyze test results and assess risk Oversee line trials Establish fill range Issue label claim, die line and UPC for artwork Create and maintain component and assembly specs Follow and resolve timeline issues Achieve packaging compliance for domestic and international products Rectify quality issues Lead and execute cost savings initiatives Understand cosmetic product and packaging manufacturing processes Interface with marketing, operations, product development, project management and procurement departments Develop and maintain a professional knowledge of new or emerging trends in packaging technology REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related technical discipline 5 -7 years experience in package development/engineering, preferably in the cosmetics or consumer goods Strong PC skills; MS Office and PowerPoint Good communication skills, to be able to deal effectively with all levels of our organization and our suppliers Good organizational skills to manage the documentation, materials and information.
