POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for the management and marketing activities, developing Sales for a sales region of multiple states for a select customer base to achieve required growth and meet sales objectives, execution of our strategic plan, and annual planning and budgeting. Represent the full line of Inteplast Group products: The primary objective of this role is to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction. As a Regional Packaging Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, utilizing your exceptional organizational and sales skills. In this role you will establish and attain goals while possessing strong analytical capabilities. We value effective communication and a deep understanding of customer needs. QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven sales experience as a Regional Packaging Manager

Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred

Ability to develop and implement sales strategies

Sales and marketing: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product innovation, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems.

Customer and personal service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Administrative and management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.

Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

At least 5 years of experience in distribution sales, ideally with customers in distribution, janitorial & sanitation supply, facility supply, along with a proven track record of positive customer relationships and sales growth.

Other experience in business management and marketing is a plus.

Preferred prior experience within the plastics or related industry

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite of Products

Ability to speak in front of both small and large groups.

Bachelors in Business, Marketing or a related field preferred

The candidate may be required to submit a writing sample

The candidate may be asked to prepare a presentation to the hiring team

Ability to work independently

Ability to travel/drive with a valid driver’s license

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct sales activities with existing customers and prospect accounts to maintain relationships and increase sales

Actively develop prospects and targets, prioritize opportunities and develop strategic supply proposals to gain incremental business

Collect market intelligence and customer decision criteria to recommend effective sales proposals

Skillfully present compelling supply package presentations resulting in awarded business

Develop annual sales budget & strategy and execute the plan accordingly

Review sales progress regularly against goals and re-align efforts to ensure targets are being successfully achieved

Interact and coordinate with other functional departments in order to provide customer satisfaction

Coordinate with marketing personnel to develop sales promotion plans for target products

Selectively attend sales trade and/or vendor shows to promote products and develop business opportunities

Handle special projects assigned by the business unit

Identify new opportunities based on industry trends and customers' needs and interests.

Create selling and product strategy based on an analysis of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.

Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.

Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and customers' products, prices and sales.

Clearly understand and effectively communicate program details to the participating customers.

Monitor contract compliance for programs.

Demonstrate mastery of product lines, policies, systems and competitive environment

Participate in periodic top to top level meetings with key decision makers at distribution and chain accounts.

Prepare and analyze reports for sales management, regarding national account and direct buying customers associated with the assigned geography or market segment.

Set up requests for competitive prices.

Understand market pricing and dynamics related to all categories of products in which we provide

Coordinate the completion of RFP's.

Coordinate the facilitation of plant audits and customer visits

Develop, maintain and service Inteplast's relationships with the customer base.

Serve as a liaison between Inteplast and the customer.

Manage indirect sales representatives that are dedicated to developing national accounts.

Implement effective territory sales and marketing strategies

Analyze data to find the most efficient sales methods

Meet with customers to address concerns and provide solutions

Discover sales opportunities through market research

Present products and services to prospective customers

Participate in industry or promotional events to cultivate customer relationships

Participate in training on sales techniques and company product attributes

Assess sales performance according to KPIs

Monitor competition within assigned region

Prepare and submit reports to the Regional Manager

Submit quotation requests and manage revisions and renewals

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

This position involves 50 to 60% travel, with a willingness to travel throughout the United States attending meetings with customers/prospects and sales functions such as trade shows, etc.

Extensive communication and interaction with others.

Travel 30% to 50% and could include overnight travel as required.

Must be able to participate in periodic conferences that require standing for extended periods of time.
