Role Description This is a full-time on-site role based in New York, NY for a Fashion Designer. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating innovative apparel designs, selecting suitable textiles, and working with embroidery and embellishments. Duties include producing sketches, attending fittings to ensure design accuracy and functionality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring creative ideas to life.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in Fashion Design, including sketching and concept development
Strong skills in Textiles and Fabric selection tailored to unique garment designs
Experience with creating and applying Embroidery and other garment embellishments
Proficiency in conducting Fittings and making necessary adjustments for proper garment structure
Attention to detail and a strong sense of current and upcoming fashion trends
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Relevant experience in the fashion industry, with a portfolio showcasing creative work
