This Position reports to: Global Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the Sales organization and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost‑effective solutions. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area and showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology. This is an on‑site position based in our Quincy, MA office. Contributing to the EL District Sales team in the Northeast District, main stakeholders are the District Sales Manager and Area Sales Managers in support of local Account Managers. Offering technical advice and providing comments on enquiry specifications for customers, channels and Sales Engineers regarding ABB’s products, systems and applications. Providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations. Performing analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs; proposing the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries. Delivering product, solution and service‑related training; supporting the managers in preparing and validating the technical articles to publish. Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college and 2 years of sales experience, OR High School diploma and 4 years of sales experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of the electrical industry and ABB products preferred. Knowledge of industrial controls highly preferred. Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners preferred. Customer‑focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
