Skill Builder – Addictions and Recovery Center (West Lafayette, Indiana)

You are the dynamic, professional skill builder we are looking for. Your expertise and passion are what our patients need at our Addictions and Recovery Center located in West Lafayette, Indiana for 11 am – 7 pm Monday through Friday. You will be integral in providing behavioral therapy, intensive rehabilitation, wellness education and post‑treatment support to individuals battling substance use disorders. You will catalyze the rebuilding of their lives.
How you will change lives as a Skill Builder:
Counsel, monitor, and support individuals experiencing substance use and mental illness disorders
Evaluate, prepare, and implement case management plans
Travel, up to 15%
Organize and conduct client skills training and education groups
Assist with maintaining 24/7 staff coverage, including working other shifts as needed
Assess and monitor residents' behaviors and intervene as appropriate
Crisis intervention
Prepare and maintain written case records, reports and forms, including case follow-up and closing
Maintain Meridian Health Services standards, policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, state and federal laws and with ethical standards of the profession
We value your experience as a Skill Builder:
High school diploma or its equivalent with 2 years paid behavioral healthcare experience or equivalent college coursework toward a human services or health related degree required at minimum
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Two years’ experience working in addictions treatment field preferred
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, driving record meeting company policy, and proof of insurance required.

STAR LRP Loan Repayment Program HRSA’s Bureau of Health Workforce has launched the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) – up to $250,000 to eligible health professionals in exchange for a six‑year, full‑time service commitment.
Drug screen, TB test, extensive background check, and fingerprinting are required of all Meridian employees. Meridian Health Services recommends that all individuals who join Meridian have a flu shot and COVID vaccination to further protect our staff and the patients we serve. We also adhere to COVID‑related protocol including wearing masks, social distancing, and sanitizing.
