Full Time, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
Position Purpose The Commercial HVAC Installer is responsible for installing, assembling, and commissioning commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards. This role focuses on large‑scale commercial equipment and requires strong mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Install commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, VAV boxes, and hydronic systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
Set, rig, and secure HVAC equipment using proper lifting and safety procedures
Install ductwork, piping (copper, steel, PVC), and insulation as required
Connect electrical wiring, controls, thermostats, and sensors per specifications
Perform start‑up assistance and system checks to ensure proper operation
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes
Maintain a clean and safe job site and follow company safety policies
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on site
Document work completed and report issues or material needs
Qualifications
2+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience (preferred)
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and components
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety practicesAbility to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (rooftops, ladders, confined spaces)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
