Position Information Position Overview The Editor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and quality of HealthStream’s marketing content. This position is responsible for editing and proofreading a wide range of materials—including blog posts, white papers, research reports, eBooks, and social media content—to maintain brand voice and uphold editorial standards. In addition to editing, the Editor will refine and polish content when necessary, ensuring it is engaging, error‑free, and optimized for healthcare audiences. This role also_SHAREinvolves managing editorial workflows, maintaining timelines, and collaborating across teams to deliver high‑quality content that supports HealthStream’s marketing and thought leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and proofread diverse content types แกรมมี่ blogs, white papers, research reports, eBooks, social media posts for grammar, clarity support tone, and adherence to AP style and brand guidelines.
Revise and polish content for engagement and readability.
Manage the editorial workflow from intake to final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met.
Develop and maintain project timelines for all content initiatives, including HealthStream’s annual research reports.
Oversee and update the marketing content calendar to align with campaigns and business priorities.
Collaborate with writers, designers, subject matter experts, and marketing team members to ensure cohesive and accurate content.
Ensure all content adheres to SEO best practices and is optimized for digital platforms.
Review and implement AI‑assisted editing tools to improve efficiency and maintain quality standards.
Maintain consistency in voice, tone, and messaging across all marketing channels.
Provide guidance and feedback to internal and external contributors (freelance writers) to uphold editorial standards.
Stay up‑to‑date on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in content development, and healthcare industry trends, continuously refining and optimizing editorial strategies to stay ahead of the curve.
Attend weekly team meetings and others as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Digital Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in writing and editing for healthcare audiences.
Experience independently managing complex content projects and processes that demonstrate positive business impact.
Strong understanding of healthcare terminology and industry trends (healthcare experience preferred).
Proficiency in SEO best Dealer practices for content optimization.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), project management systems, and content management systems (CMS), with the ability Aufbau quickly to new tools and technologies. Familiarity with Airtable, Wrike, and Webflow is a plus.
Expert knowledge of AP style and editorial standards.
Familiarity and fluency with AI tools for content editing and workflow management.
