Opportunity Brown University's School of Professional Studies (SPS) brings a Brown education to new audiences of learners: those focused on the development of skills and a breadth of knowledge necessary for professional success and leadership. We leverage Brown's intellectual centers of excellence, rigorous teaching, and developmental approach to learning in a range of programs, including serving students outside of traditional degree programs. We partner with Brown departments, centers, institutes, and schools to develop degree and non‑degree programs, and to support the recruitment, retention, and placement success of master’s students, including traditional, non‑traditional, and professional students.

Responsibilities The Video Producer is responsible for the conceptualization, creation, and management of comprehensive video content for Brown University's growing portfolio of over 30 master’s, executive education, and mindfulness programs. Leveraging the brand's visual identity and design guidelines, this position will create compelling multimedia assets including video, motion graphics, and audio assets for paid advertising across a variety of platforms and formats, website content, social media platforms, and email campaigns. The role focuses primarily on video production, from initial concept development through final delivery, ensuring all content effectively communicates program value propositions and drives enrollment. This position reports to the Associate Director of Marketing Communications and is a member of the marketing team, collaborating closely with program teams across the University to ensure that video deliverables align with marketing objectives and messaging strategies. The position requires a blend of creative storytelling ability, technical video production expertise, and an understanding of how video content supports the student enrollment journey.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in film production, video production, communications, digital media, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience 3–5 years video production experience Portfolio/reel demonstrating strong video production skills across various formats and platforms Experience with end‑to‑end video production from concept development through final delivery Understanding of accessibility standards for visual and multimedia content Strong storytelling abilities and understanding of visual narrative techniques Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Experience creating GIF/animated designs preferred

Software:

Expert proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) Expert proficiency in motion graphics software (Adobe After Effects, Motion, or equivalent) Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) Experience with professional video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices Understanding of video codecs, formats, and compression for various delivery platforms Knowledge of color correction, audio mixing, and post‑production workflows

Preferred:

Experience in higher education marketing or professional services Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Drupal (or similar web content management systems) Understanding of SEO and video optimization for web platforms
