The EP&C Customer Service Representative (EP&C - CSR) is primarily responsible for assisting Summit's customers over the phone, internet, email or in person and works closely with the Service Center sales staff to ensure a high level of customer service. Summit offers ongoing training and education opportunities as well as competitive benefits and salary packages.
Your customers will include external customers, vendors, manufacturers' representatives and other suppliers. Internally, you will serve departments such as sales, warehouse, credit and management.
As an EP &C - CSR you will be expected to:
Thoroughly understand all product capabilities, features, and benefits as well as Summit’s market conditions, product warranties and services.
Assist customers over the phone or via the internet with orders, quotations and product questions.
Negotiate profitable pricing with both customers and suppliers.
Proactively follow up on customer orders, challenges, and needs.
Resolve customer concerns and issues as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Assist other associates as needed.
Coordinate and collaborate with outside and inside sales teams to meet goals.

Qualifications: Qualifications
As the qualified candidate you must have:
High school diploma or GED.
Must have experience with products in the industrial electrical industry.
Project management experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Time management – ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Flexibility – the ability to effectively adapt to change.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
Strong customer service orientation.
Exceptional follow up skills.
Strong attention to detail and be well organized.
Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks with little supervision or guidance.
Proven “do whatever it takes” attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace.
Beneficial Skills and Experience to be successful:
Experience with an electrical distributor in inside sales or counter sales.
Experience in managing projects and customer quotations.
Experience in industrial markets (emphasis in EP&C).
Physical Challenges:
Working environment is an office setting.
Consistent sitting for hours at a time.
Consistent use of keyboard and mouse.
Ability to perform the same physical tasks as that of counter and warehouse associates.
Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment.
