The
Marketing and Events Coordinator
supports the Development team in all aspects of events, marketing and fundraising. This is a fun, fast-paced introduction to all facets of fundraising/development. The primary objective of this position is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Development department, with a focus on events and marketing support, as well as office admin including, event logistics, grant writing, social media coordination and implementation, and donor acknowledgement.
This position demands strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and support multiple efforts. The ideal candidate has exemplary relationship building, strong communication for internal and external audiences, an understanding of database management, and enjoys working both behind the scenes and donor-facing events.
Job Duties Marketing
Assist with regular website and social media updates and maintenance
Track and monitor social media and Google analytics and prepare reports
Create, send, and track monthly newsletters for Affiliate and ReStore
Identify, purchase, track, and brand garb for the ReStore, Construction Team, Donors, and Board Members
Order and track marketing materials (printed, stickers, thank‑yous, rack cards, Strategic Plan)
Tracking and analytics
ReStore
Assist with ReStore marketing and photos
Compose and track ReStore monthly newsletter
Events
Support Development Manager – Assist in all aspects of executing annual event strategy including coordination of Affiliate, ReStore and Jobsite events such as annual Carpenters’ Ball, Colorado Gives Day, specialty build days, ground breakings and home dedications, volunteer and donor recognition and cultivation. Act as the point person for smaller events throughout the year
Procure event space, work with rental company, sign contracts, communicate, organize F&B
Solicit vendor discounts and in‑kind donations across all departments for various needs
Responsible for venue setup and breakdown, F&B, and remote meeting A/V set up for various meetings and initiatives
Prepare event box and checklist for events outside of Development team
Carpenters’ Ball
Lead the administration of online auctions, including solicitation of gift certificates and packages, photo and logo procurement and related tracking, description writing, auction displays and winner fulfillment
Colorado Gives Day/Annual Giving
Execute Colorado Gives Day Plan and Annual Giving Plan created by Development Manager
Oversee updates to HFHVV platform and necessary filings to ensure eligibility for donations; assist with peer‑to‑peer fundraising efforts utilizing the platform
Prepare in‑house mailings, coordinating with the printer, graphic designer and mail house for bulk mailings, and following up with donors via email and phone
Development Support
Execute donor acknowledgement plan including gift processing and tax receipt. Update donor acknowledgement letters in database
Update and maintain donor databases, including Charity Proud, One Cause, Constant Contact etc., (directed by Dev Manager)
Provide vision, energy and passion for Habitat’s mission, values and integrity in all aspects of the job
Small Grants
Administer HFHC grants, primarily Prop 123 AHOP grant
Write small annual grants and reporting
Research new sources of grant funding
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree OR 1–2 years experience in non‑profit sector or related field (nonprofit management, business administration, communications, grant writing, events)
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Commitment to data accuracy and integrity
Experience maintaining donor databases preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite/outlook
Advanced computer skills preferred
Grant writing experience preferred
Comfort engaging with members of the public
Strong time management and organization skills
Knowledge of and experience with various social media platforms
Experience in Google Analytics preferred
Willingness to engage in continued professional development opportunities
Compensation & Benefits offered include health insurance, life insurance, retirement plan with 6% employer match, up to 6 weeks of vacation, holiday, and sick time, paid medical leave and more.
The salary range for this position is currently $54,824 – $68,530 per year. Initial compensation is determined based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience.
